History
In 2013, Mrs Antonella Allegrino took over the property, carrying out a detailed conservative restoration, fully respecting the historical and cultural interest of the house, restoring the essence and soul of the place and aiming for a totally immersive experience for guests.
The village of Casoli, in the province of Chieti, is characterized by authentic and unique panoramas. This village overlooks the valley of the Aventino River, a few kilometres from its confluence with the Sangro River. This area was selected as WWF Oasis of Serranella in 1987.
Among the natural beauty of the place, you can enjoy the nearby Sant’Angelo artificial lake, nestled in the picturesque valley surrounded by the Majella massif. At the top of the hill, you will find the townhall of Casoli, the historic centre that is still preserving the traces of the medieval settlement, as well as the Ducal Castle with its norman tower. Gabriele D’Annunzio, the famous poet, often visited this castrum, known as Masciantonio. You can still see the poet’s inscriptions etched on the walls.
Casoli is one of a kind village, where mountains meet the sea, also enlisted among the “Most Beautiful Villages in Italy” in 2020. All guests shall visit the characteristic alleyways in search of the ancient churches and Palazzo Tilli, discovering the values and traditions of this folkloric place.
